Twenty year old Cynthia “Cindy” Anderson had less than a week left at her job as a legal secretary before she planned to start college classes with her boyfriend. On the morning of August 4th, 1981, Cindy hopped in her white Chevy Citation and headed to work. She was wearing a white dress with red piping, open toed high heeled sandals with ankle straps, a gold watch and a sapphire ring. Witnesses reported having seen Cindy up until about 9:45AM. However, clients of the law firm Cindy worked at off east Manhatten Boulevard in Toledo, Ohio, stated that no one was answering past 10AM. When attorney James Rabbit arrived at the office around noon, he noticed the door was locked, the air conditioning was running and the radio was playing in the background. He assumed Cindy had gone to lunch. It wasn’t until about 2:30PM that attorneys Rabbit and Neller reported Cynthia Anderson Missing. They found it suspicious that the romance novel Cindy was reading was opened to the one passage which mentions any violence in the book. An abduction of a woman.
Cynthia Jane Anderson is 5’4” tall, 115 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Cindy’s mother passed not long after she went missing, but her father fought for answers for decades and died never knowing what really happened to his baby girl.
