The Disappearance of Lauren Spierer

By Shasta Gilbert

Indiana University student, Lauren Spierer, has been missing since June 3, 2011. Lauren was out with a group of her friends at a local Bloomington, Indiana college hangout bar and was last seen around 4:30 am on the morning of June 3. It was reported that Lauren was very intoxicated, and some suspect drugs may have been used that night. Police were able to develop a time line via video surveillance of Lauren’s activity that night, but many of the friends that were with her refused polygraphs and lawyered up almost immediately after her disappearance.

There have been over 3,000 tips in her disappearance and many searches performed, however; there are still no answers. Lauren was 20 years old at the time of her disappearance and was originally from Scarsdale, New York. Her family presumes she is deceased but are praying for closure and to find their beautiful daughters remains.

  • I can’t believe the so called “friends” with her that night aren’t helping the police. Such a pretty girl who had her whole life ahead of her. I hope she is found and justice is served. ❤
