Nineteen year old U.S. Army Soldier PFC. Amanda Gonzales had only been stationed in Hanau, Germany, eight months before she was murdered in cold blood in her barracks on November 5th, 2001. The barracks near Hanau were known as Fliegerhorst Kaserne and Gonzales resided on the third floor. PFC. Amanda Gonzales was four months pregnant at the time of her death. She was discovered after not showing up for work as a cook for the Headquarters Supply Company of the 127th Aviation Support Battalion. The C.I.D., also known as the United States Army Criminal Investigative Command, determined Gonzales’ death a homicide by asphyxiation.
Amanda Gonzales’ loved ones never got to say goodbye. Their daughter and grandchild were stolen from them. If you have any information, please turn your tips into the CID at 571-305-4349, CID Headquarters in Virginia at 571-305-4302, or to mailto: crimetips@conus.army.mil or tips.fbi.gov

I remember seeing the posters when I first arrived in Germany in 2002. Sad to know that this still has not been solved after all these years.
Have there been any follow up or leads in this case?
